We offer flexible and responsive services to meet individual needs and circumstances. Depending on the needs of the person we can provide services from 1/2 hour visits to 24 hours per day or just a few hours now and again. We can also provide services for a couple of weeks or months following an illness or hospital stay.
Over the years we have worked closely with the NHS and Local Authorities across the North West of England to establish our supported living service for people with autism, learning disabilities, mental health issues, complex health needs and older people.
Supported living enables people to live safely in their own homes with care and support tailored to their individual needs. Our supported living service offers an alternative for disabled and elderly people who do not want residential care but who need extra support to live independently in the community. Our support ranges from just a few hours a week for people with low level needs up to intensive support packages for people with complex needs and can be provided in a number of settings, including:
We recognise that it is important for people to be able to do things for themselves, be involved in every day decisions and take part in local social and leisure activities. Some people may be able to live safe and more independent lives with the aid of assistive technology. Some people may be able to retain or gain greater independence through using assistive technology with some aspects of everyday living, monitoring, safety, communication, as well as prompts and reminders.
Our supported employment service was established in 1995 and operates from our Merseyside Service. It takes a personalised approach to supporting people with significant disabilities into real jobs, where they can fulfil their employment aspirations and increase their social networks. We are committed to helping each person find and hold down a job they enjoy.
We start by finding out what the person wants to do, what skills they have and their interests to help us to match them to a job they would enjoy. Our Job Trainers' are there to help the person learn the skills and knowledge needed to do the job. The Job Trainer breaks down the job into a number of small tasks and sets manageable goals. As the person learns the tasks and gains the skills needed to do the job the support is gradually withdrawn.

Our Job Trainers also work with people to find work based activities to help them gain the skills that would increase their chances of getting paid employment. We explore all options to help people find and hold down a job they enjoy.
Our outreach service is for people who need extra care or support either in their own home or within their local community to develop various skills that will increase their independence, community networks and improve their overall health and wellbeing. Some people will need on-
Our outreach services are flexible and responsive to meet the individual needs and circumstances of the person. We develop a care and support plan together with the person to ensure the service is tailored to their specific needs and the outcomes / goals they wish to achieve.
Our homecare service is for anyone who needs some extra care and support in the home, including people with short or long term health conditions, the elderly and disabled people. This service makes it possible for people to retain their independence and remain living at home within their own community.
Some people need services at specific times throughout the day while others need a couple of hours a week or just a few hours now and again. We also offer services for a couple of weeks or months following an illness or a hospital stay. Our homecare service includes support with:
Paying for Care and Support
Your local authority (council) may be able to help with some or all the cost of your care and support. If this is the case your local authority will complete an assessment to find out if your care and support needs meet their eligibility criteria.
If the assessment finds that you have eligible needs the local authority will complete a financial assessment to establish if they will meet the full cost of your care and support, or if you have to make a contribution towards the cost or whether you have to pay the full cost.
If you think that you may be eligible for care or support at home you should contact the social services department in your local authority and ask for an assessment of your care and support needs. To contact social services, go to GOV.UK: find your local authority.
If you are eligible for care and support services from your local authority you will receive a personal budget. You can ask the local authority to provide or arrange the services you need with your personal budget or you can choose to receive direct payments to arrange your own care and support.
A Personal Budget is a new way of arranging and funding social care services, which is being rolled out nationally. You will be offered personal budget by your Local Authority if they assess that you need care and support. A Personal Budget is an agreed amount of money from your Local Authority which you control and gives more choice over how your care and support is arranged.
If you are eligible for a Personal Budget your Local Council will again complete a financial assessment and let you know if you need to pay something towards the cost of your care and support.
Personal Budget Options
The money is paid directly to you to buy the care and support you need as agreed in your care and support plan.
A Managed Personal Budget
You can ask the Council to arrange the services you need to the value of your Personal Budget.
A Mixed Personal Budget
You can buy some of services using Direct Payments and the Council will use the remainder of your Personal Budget to arrange the rest of your services.
In certain circumstances your Council can arrange for your Personal Budget to be paid as a direct payment to a friend or family member to arrange the care and support you need on your behalf.
More people are choosing to manage their own Personal Budget to arrange their own care and support services. Direct payments, gives you more flexibility and control over your care and support but you take responsibility for arranging and paying for your services. You can only spend the money on services or equipment that have been agreed in your support plan but you have control over who provides your services and when.

If you choose to employ someone yourself to provide your care and support you will be an employer, this will mean more responsibility for you, for example, you will need to comply with employment law etc. However, most Council's usually have a specialist provider to support people with the legal responsibilities of becoming an employer and https://www.gov.uk/employing-
If you do not want the responsibility of being an employer you may prefer to use a Home Care provider like us who will handle the recruitment, check references, as well as doing police checks and make sure the workers have been fully trained. If you need personal care and support we are registered with the Care Quality Commission and recommend that you view our latest inspection report.
