Information for Commissioners

We understand what commissioners need – reliable delivery, honest communication and a provider that doesn’t overpromise. Here’s what working with Mediline looks like in practice.

Overview of Mediline

Mediline has been delivering supported living and care across the North West since 1986.

We work in close partnership with local authority commissioners, NHS teams and brokerage teams across Merseyside, Manchester and Lancashire to provide consistent, well-governed support for people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and additional support needs.

We’re on framework provider lists across our regions and receive referrals through established procurement platforms including Zivver and The Chest. We understand the pressures commissioners are working under and we try to make every part of working with us as straightforward as possible – from the initial referral through to ongoing contract management.

Support that fits around real lives

Every person is different. That’s why we build support around the individual, not the other way around. You’ll see familiar faces, clear routines and a team that takes the time to understand what matters, so people feel safe, confident and able to grow in their own way.

Support with daily routines, work and living independently in a place that feels like home.

Flexible, community-based support that adapts to changing needs and helps people stay connected.

Purpose built homes with on-site support close by, so people can live independently without having to manage alone.

Reliable, personalised care delivered in familiar surroundings by people who know you.

Helping people develop skills, build confidence and find meaningful work at their own pace.

Structured daytime activities that build skills, grow confidence and keep people connected to the people and places that matter.

Working With Commissioners

We know that commissioners need more than good intentions. They need a provider who delivers what they say they will, communicates openly when things are difficult and treats every placement as a serious responsibility.

That’s how we work. We don’t overpromise on what we can offer. When a referral isn’t the right fit, we say so clearly. When challenges arise, we raise them honestly and work collaboratively to find solutions. Commissioners who work with us describe us as dependable, transparent and realistic – and that’s what we aim to be, every time.

We work within local authority processes and frameworks, adopt the required documentation and reporting structures, and maintain open lines of communication with social workers, brokerage teams and contract managers throughout.

Safeguarding

We place significant emphasis on safeguarding across all our services. Clear policies, regular training and a culture of openness mean concerns are always raised, heard and acted upon promptly.

Compliance

We meet and aim to exceed the standards set by our regulators. Our quality management systems are accredited by the International Standards Organisation and reviewed regularly to ensure continuous improvement.

CQC

Mediline is regulated by the Care Quality Commission. Our registration reflects our commitment to delivering safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led services across all our regions.

"Mediline invests in its staff properly. The training and the culture they've built means you feel equipped and supported. Knowing you're part of a team that makes a real difference to people's wellbeing is something not many jobs can offer."
